Amazing Weddings Launch

Amazing Weddings

Over the last ten years we have had the pleasure of organising some wonderful weddings and have always received such positive feedback from happy clients that we have decided to set up a special division totally dedicated to creating and supplying dream weddings for busy brides.

On September 1st Amazing Weddings was launched and the web site went live at the same time. This is obviously early days but already the enquiries are coming in for 2008 & 2009 weddings.

We feel we are ideally set up to offer brides a complete planning service. With our list of well tried suppliers we can ensure that our weddings will be 'planned to perfection'.

Have a look at the new site and if you feel that you have a service or a venue that should be included on our database please let us know.

Claire Sweeney in Concert

Claire Sweeney

Although the summer of 2007 will not be remembered for the long spells of blazing sunshine Amazing Events got lucky when they were involved in the weekend of live music at the National Trust venue of Kingston Lacy in Dorset.

For two nights the sky remained cloudless and the capacity crowd enjoyed a weekend of great music & fireworks.

Saturday night saw two of the best live tribute bands available take to the stage to recreate the hits of both Abba &Queen. The following night the 'Queen of the West End' Claire Sweeney entertained the crowds with selections from Musical Theatre together with a blend of traditional standards. Each evening was drawn to a close with a breathtaking firework display.

Amazing Events have over 16 years experience in the production of outdoor concerts & musical events and are able to project manage similar events for corporate clients 'Fun Days' or staff summer parties.

Hot Fuzz Teambuild in Wells

Hot Fuzz back in Wells

After the success of the Glencot Opening Amazing Events were asked to create a special team day activity for a corporate party from Millers Gin. The activity had to be based around the Wookey Hole hotel and they were interested in keeping things local.

The recent big screen hit 'Hot Fuzz' was filmed in the nearby City of Wells and so we created a walking treasure hunt / team build afternoon based around both the film and the various locations used. The afternoon was a great success and included such landmarks as the Bishops Palace, Wells Cathedral the Market Square and the Swan Hotel. As the final group made their way back to Glencot House a chilled gin & tonic awaited them together with a showing of the Hot Fuzz video in the hotels private cinema!

If you would like a team day with a difference in one of the most beautiful Cities in the country let us Hot Fuzz you!

Miller's New Hotel Launch

Miller Launches New Hotel

When Martin Miller, of Millers Antiques fame, opened Glencot House, his recently acquired hotel near Wookey Hole in Somerset, Amazing Events were on hand to help organise a corporate open day to introduce the stunning venue to potential local and regional clients.

Glencot is a little gem of a venue and ideal for business management away days, product launches, small conferences, team building days and incentive breaks.

Although the weather was less than kind to us we enjoyed a steady flow of visitors who tried their hand at Archery team games Clay Shooting and a murder mystery competition. Local Clay shooting specialists Guncraft were also on site demonstrating the art of Musket shooting and will be putting together a special 'Glencot Experience' when clients can use the ancient firearms for real under expert tuition of cause.

Elvis was Best Man

Amazing Events First Civil Wedding

Amazing Events really pulled out all the stops when they organized a stunning civil partnership celebration in Somerset earlier this year. Guess who was best man...? No other than the King himself, Elvis Presley!

Harvey & Jeremy's big day was just that, no detail was overlooked as the couple made their vows in front of all their friends. After the reception meal the guests were then asked to withdraw into the bar area where 100 African drums had been set up for the biggest 'get to know you' group drumming session ever.

It was the success of this event that finally convinced us to launch Amazing Weddings in September. One problem…how do we follow Elvis?

2007 New Year for Amazing Events

Gloucester Ice Rink

Amazing Events were recently contracted to be the Project Management Team for the Gloucester City Open Air Ice Rink over the Christmas period 2006.

The main contractor for the rink was the Bristol based company Stage Electrics who required a full on site Management Team to organise the running of the project.

Amazing Events were involved right from the very beginning of negotiations with the Gloucester Council and provided valuable input into the project on a day-to-day basis.

Joanna Hughes spearheaded the Rink Management Team and was solely responsible for the day-to-day management, recruiting, interviewing and training of all the rink staff.

Robbie concentrated on putting together the various sponsorship packages needed to raise £30,000 worth of funding from local businesses in the area.

The rink opened on 25th November with extensive media coverage and successfully ran straight through until 1st Jan 2007.
